EnviroFlex® Compostable
A portfolio of films designed to meet industrial and home composting standards. EnviroFlex Compostable can be an excellent solution for a variety of formats that are difficult to recycle and likely contaminated post use.
Barrier Properties
Ideal for low to moderate barrier applications including:
- Confections
- Salty snacks
- Shelf-stable sauces and liquids
Format
EnviroFlex® Compostable is available to package products as a pre-made pouch in fill-and-seal applications or as a finished rollstock for vertical or horizontal form fill-and-seal applications. It can also be used with other functional coatings, such as heat seal and cold seal.
Most common formats are possible, including:
- Stand-up pouch
- Bar wrap
- Pillow bag
- Lidding
Industrial Composting
EnviroFlex® Compostable is produced with certified industrial compostable materials tested to ASTMD6400 or EN 13432 standards. Industrially compostable materials are great for institutional collection (schools, airports, stadiums, etc) of used packages where control of waste streams allow for appropriate stream management.
EnviroFlex® PE
EnviroFlex® PE, is available as a pouch or rollstock and provides the durability and processability expected from polyethylene in a store drop-off recyclable structure
Engineered to be a mono-material lamination, EnviroFlex PE has been pre-qualified in North America to carry the “store drop off / plastic” How2Recycle® label indicating ease of recyclability (where available).
- Ideal for a wide range of foods including confections, snacks, dry or dehydrated
- Flow wrap options for single serve snacks, personal care, baby and household items
- Available as a premade pouch or rollstock, with or without barrier
- Runs on both vertical and horizontal form-fill-seal machines
- Cold seal structures available in metallized, clear or high barrier film
EnviroFlex® Recycled Content
For multi-layer applications requiring extra durability or barrier performance, end of-life recycling options remain out of reach. As we wait while the global recycling infrastructure improves, the best way to achieve sustainability attributes today is to add renewable or recycled raw materials into the manufacturing process.
EnviroFlex® Recycled Content is a high-barrier, high durability film that is made with post-consumer recycled content secured from both mechanical and advanced recycling operations.
- Available as a premade pouch or rollstock
- Ideal for coffee, pet foods, or other items requiring enhanced pouch performance
EnviroFlex® Paper
EnviroFlex® Paper provides a flexible packaging alternative made primarily of paper that was designed for recycling. Available with barrier properties and in various weights, EnviroFlex® Paper is ideal for packaging formats such as flow wrap, sachets and pillow bags.
- EnviroFlex® Paper has been pre-qualified in North America to carry the “widely recycled” How2Recycle® label indicating curbside recyclability (where available).
- Suitable for various food and non-food applications including: cookies, crackers, snacks, confections, dry/dehydrated foods & mixes, pet treats, personal care items and more
